About the ESTETICA CLINIC

How long has the clinic been in operation?
The ESTETICA CLINIC has existed since October of 2002 but obtained approval according to article 30 on December 24, 2003. The clinic's concept is based on multiple principles. Prof. (CIS) MD. (CIS) George Khoury and Dr. Med. Knebel are specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery and have many years of experience in the cosmetic plastic surgery field. They are aided by a team of qualified specialists, anesthesiologists and employees. The Clinic is equiped with state-of-the-art equipment and only the most advanced techniques are used. A good doctor-patient relationship is central to our philosphy.

How long does an initial consultation last and how much does it cost?
Initial consultation is made on an individual basis and usually lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. It is free.

Can I see a simulated image of what I might look like after surgery?
Yes, we do have special software that allows us to show you a virtual image of post-operative results. As is done in the USA, we are careful not to give the patient false expectations. Results do deviate from this image. An exact representation of post-operative results is not possible.

What are the ESTETICA CLINIC's strong points?
Our strengths include a flexible appointment schedule as well as low wait time for appointments, medical competence on the highest level, first class operating rooms with laminar air flow technology licensed for the use of lasers. Quiet single rooms with a pleasant view of the courtyard. All rooms are equiped with television and minibar as well as air-conditioning. Operations can also be broadcast live to a seminar room to help further train specialists.

Will anesthesia be administered by experienced specialists?
The Anesthesiologists, Doctors Lück, Dreyer and Wüsten, give the anesthesia personally. They are all very experienced senior physicians

Dr. Knebel and Prof. Khoury are specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery and are therefore well instructed in cosmetic surgery.t.

Yes, Prof. Khoury and Dr. Knebel are members of the German Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Knebel is a member of the The German Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

We only go through a surgery if it both ethical and medically justified.

Isn't treatment in a private clinic expensive?
The high standards in medicine and exclusive accomodation offered by the ESTETICA CLINIC or practises specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery have their price. Our prices are usually under those of our competitors.

How important is post-operative care in your clinic?
Post-operative care is of central importance. Each patient receives their own aftercare schedule in order to orientate the patient and speed up healing. The head doctors are available also during post-operative treatment.

There are currently four rooms available for a full inpatient stay.

What is the service during a stay in your clinic like?
There is always a doctor and a nurse on duty in the clinic. A doctor is always there for you to talk to or to help.

Do you offer single rooms and what service should I expect?
There are four single rooms available. Each has its own bathroom, minibar, television, optional internet connection and a view overlooking the courtyard. Our friendly personnel is also there to assist you.

Does your clinic use any special technical or medical equipment?
We are equipped with two first class clean air operating rooms authorized by the Hamburg Medical Association and licensed for all necessary operations. Our operating table meets the newest standards. Our lamps have a special level of light quality and have integrated video recording capability. We also have a separate anesthetic recovery room.

Why aren't there any before and after photos on your site?
In our opinion, before and after photos are lurid and not at all serious. We would be happy to show you photos of our patients' results in a consultation.
