Beauty Lounge / Conture Make Up

What is conture make up?
Conture make up is a durable form of make up applied using the long-time-liner methode, a process wherein high quality ink is injected into the epidermis. Conture make up is different from permanent make up because it is not injected in to the deeper layers of skin obtaining the extreme changes characteristic to permanent make up.
Conture make up is used to restore the natural beauty or highlight existing beauty.
An intensive conture make up consultation is free.

Back

How long do the results last?
As conture make up reaches the epidermis, results last 2-5 years depending on the nature of the individual's skin.

Back

How long does the treatment take?
Treatment begins with a free, no obligation consultation. Desired changes are marked using eyeliner. The customer and an experienced linergist discuss the colors and form that should be used.
If the patient decides to go ahead with treatment, further appointments will be made. In the following session the desired changes are marked a second time and the actual treatment starts. It takes about one to two hours varying from customer to customer and depends on the area being treated, whether eyelids or lips. Two more sessions follow. The entire process takes about three months.

Back

How deep does the make up penetrate the skin?
Conture make up penetrates the epidermis, a depth of 0.113 mm to 0.316 mm.

Back

Are there any adverse effects to cell regeneration?
No, cell regeneration is not affected because only the epidermis is penetrated. We use a very fine acupuncture needle so that cell regeneration is unaffected.

Back

Has it been shown to have health risks?
There have been no health risks reported. We work with approved medical and cosmetic pigment.

Back

Where can conture make up be applied?
Conture make up can be used on the eyelids as eyeliner or eye shadow, on the eyebrows, on the lips and on select areas of skin for a small Temptoo.

Back

Are results achieved in one treatment?
No. As described before treatment requires multiple sessions. An initial consultation where the desired changes are marked and colors and form are discussed, the main application session and two follow-up sessions.

Back

Is treatment painful?
The pain felt depends on the sensitivity of the individual. The pain is tolorable. We use the finest acupuncture needles according to the Long-Time-Liner method.

Back

What ink or pigment is used and can it cause allergies?
We use two different types of pigment, cosmetic and medical pigment.
Pigment is used that is meant for human medical pigmentation. The inorganic pigment originates from minerals. The pigment is classified as non-toxic and hypoallergenic according to the CTFA international standards.
We use very fine acupuncure needles to apply the pigment so that there is no effect on cell regeneration.
Allergy history is reviewed when the patient's medical history is reviewed to prepare for any allergic reactions. The skin can be tested for an allergic reaction by applying some of the pigment to be used on a small area on the inside of the elbow.
The natural appearance of the customer is always considered when using the pigment. Skin type must be considered, whether the skin type is lighter or darker. We are always sure to maintain the individual's natural radiance.

Back

Can a computer simulation be used to show what the results might look like?
This is not necessary. We do not yet offer computer simulation but offer a free consultation where we use make up to make the desired changes showing you what you would look like.

Back

How extensive does consultation go into the forms and colors that best suit the patient's face?
During the free consultation an experienced cosmetician, as mentioned above, uses forms and colors that suit the customer's unique face to demonstrate what the results might look like after treatment.

Back

Can the results of conture make up be reversed?
Conture make up can be reversed using camouflage pigment or other cosmetic or medical pigment to cover up undesired changes or make corrections.

Back

What can I do if I do not like the results? Can I demand improvement?
If the customer is not happy with results, correction using camouflage pigments is available.

Back

Can the ink or pigment change over time?
The pigments do not change but they fade gradually over time with the natural changes in the skin, which depend on the skin's individual properties.

Back

Is the ink or pigment affected or damaged by sunlight?
The pigment (make up) is not affected by sunlight. However it is recommended that the patient avoid sunlight, solariums and saunas for 14 days following the treatment.

Back

Can it fade unevenly?
No uneven fading has been reported.

Back

What is to be expected after treatment?
Direct sunlight, solariums and saunas are to be avoided for the two weeks following treatment. Hygiene is to be maintained and skin cream rich in vitamin E should be used.

Back

Can permanent make up be applied despite acne?
Since acne does not affect the eyes or lips, conture mak up can be used even if there is clinically diognosed acne vulgaris present. However conture make up treatment is only recommended if the acne is being treated.
