What happens in an initial consultation?
First the patient informed about the procedure and the patient explains what they hope to get from it. We make the most logical recommendation from a surgical standpoint and explain the various options.

Who is a good candidate for a lip surgery?
Lip surgery is a good option for those who would like to change the volume and/or shape of their lips, those who have a lot of wrinkles around their lips, extreme smokers because of the vertical mimic lines that form from smoking and those who have naturally narrow lips.

What kind of lip surgery techniques are there?
There are two types of lip surgery. In lip augmentation a strip of skin is removed from the are surrounding the lips and so the boarder between the red of the lips and the surrounding skin is lifted making the lips wider and more visible.
In the second method a strip of skin is removed from the base of the nose resulting in a shorter upper lip. As a result the lip is rotated upward and wider.
There is also the lip reduction. This is done from the inside of the mouth. The strip is removed from the mucus membrane, tightened and the lip rotated inward.
Lip injections are another option.
