During nasal correction a small incision is made inside one of the alar wings of the nose (inside the nostril). Any changes in size or shape are then made to the exposed underlying bone and/or cartilage causing the problem. After intervention the nostrils are blocked with bandages for two days and a nose splint worn for about a week. Scarring from the intervention is not visible after the healing period has passed.
