There are multiple treatments possible for total tooth loss.

This can be treated with a minimal number of implants coupled with the use of a removable implant prosthesis. A maximum of four implants can be set in each jaw bone. They are usually set in the positions where the cuspids once were. After about three to six weeks of healing, a removable implant prosthesis is fitted to the implants. The patient will be given temporary dentures for the three or six week healing period.

A telescope system is also an option. A telescope is inserted into each implant and a corresponding counter-telescope set in the prosthesis to match.

Round ball anchors are also an option. Implants are fitted with round ball anchors which are then used to attatch the prosthesis to the implants.
